The benefits of Acupuncture and Massage have been proven to increase with consistent and frequent sessions
Acupressure
Is similar to acupuncture, but without relying on the use of needles. This technique involves pressing on certain points of the body to relieve pain. Acupressure attempts to promote the maximal flow of qi, the vital energy or life force believed by some to flow throughout the body. We provide the best service in town.
Acupuncture
For more than 5,000 years, acupuncturists have treated many diseases and dysfunctions of the body by inserting fine needles into the skin at specific points. The needles stimulate these acupuncture points to normalize physiological functions, modify and prevent the perception of pain, and encourage the body’s own healing abilities
Couples Massage
is offered at the same time (not in the same room). You and a friend, spouse, loved one, mother, the daughter can experience a relaxing massage. This is a nice way to introduce someone to the benefits of massage that you may have already experienced or a great way to celebrate a special occasion, end a hectic work week or kick off a vacation. Simultaneous, side-by-side therapeutic massage for two (one therapist for each person) intended to enhance communication & physical intimacy.
Ear Candling
Ear Candling is primarily used for cleaning the ears and promoting a healthy atmosphere in the ears, sinus cavities & throat. The procedure consists of lighting one end of a hollow candle & placing the other end of the ear canal. The flame of the candle creates a draw or vacuum which pulls the wax and other particles of debris out of the ear and up into the bottom of the candle. The client feels a warm sensation during the procedure and is left with the deeply relaxed feeling and improved health. This service is also accompanied by a brief neck & scalp massage if so desired.
Chinese Pediatric
A Massage for Children. The process uses different methods derived from an ancient technique known as Tui Na. It is known to help with reducing phlegm, improving digestion, strengthening the immune system, relieving stress, aiding in growth and development, helping to balance hyperactivity, inactivity and more. This provides proven alternatives to Western medicine that are more tolerable to children and better for their long-term health.
Hilot Filipino
A word from the Tagalog dialect meaning massage-rubbing or touch with soothing strokes. Touch is the modality of hilot. Initially, one might think this procedure is simply a massage, but hilot is more. It is energy manipulation. The hilot’s concept of health and disease is based on the balance of hot (init) and cold (lamig) / wind (hangin). When balanced, the body is well. An imbalance results in a blockage in the flow of energy within the body resulting in stress. The hilot balances out the body and allows for energy to flow naturally.
Lomi-Lomi (Hawaiian)
A massage that focuses on finding congested areas in the body and dispersing them by moving the palms, thumbs, knuckles, and forearms in rhythmic, dance-like motions. This creates a setting for the intention of healing. The kahuna would also utilize prayer (pule), breath (ha) and energy (mana).
Neuromuscular Massage
A massage applied to specific muscles that is often used to increase blood flow, release knots of muscle tension, or release pain/pressure on the nerves. One type of this therapy is also known as Trigger Point Therapy, where concentrated finger pressure is applied to trigger points of muscular pain.
Prenatal Massage
(Pregnancy)
A massage intended to help reduces stress & promote relaxation during pregnancy. It can work to reduce and alleviate neck, back and joint pain caused by prenatal posture changes as well as muscle weakness or tension, the extra weight of pregnancy and imbalance. We feature specially designed pregnancy support pillows for our clients which remove the pressure on abdominal muscles and lower back. Prenatal Massages are a welcome relief for busy, active Moms-To-Be.
Hot Stone Massage
A variation on a regular Swedish massage session. Heated smooth, flat stones are used to massage the body and are placed at key points where they can soothe and relax the muscles in order to re-balance the body and mind. The warmth of the hot stones also improve circulation & calm the nervous system. Heat has long been used to ease muscle tension and pain and help increase blood flow to the affected area. This massage will help you enjoy more restorative sleep. We use both hot & cold stones during the massage in order to sustain balance.
Lymph Drainage
Involves the application of light, rhythmic strokes. This technique is used to help conditions related to poor lymph flow, such as inflammation, edema, and nephropathy. Our massage is based on natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart
Reiki
A Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by laying on hands and is based on the idea that an unseen life force energy or Chi flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s life force energy is low we are more likely to become ill or feel stressed. But if Chi is high we are more capable of being happy and healthy. A Reiki treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit, creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security, and well being.
Shiatsu /
Acupressure
Systems of finger-pressure massage based on the Asian system of healing, which treats special points along meridians channels of energy flow (known as Qi or Chi) in the body. The underlying belief is that blocked meridians can cause physical discomfort and techniques applied to specific meridian points can release the blockage, thereby balancing energy flow. According to the theory of Chinese Medicine, Qi is not something mystical or mysterious – it is the energy in “I feel full of energy today!” In acupressure, light pressure is applied to specific points to help balance the body and the mind.
